>> Didi was my favorite! The day she sang in Hollywood with her guitar to be in Top 24 or whatever # is her style! Not R&B. I can see her sell records. Kinda Natasha Bedingfield more folky.

Argh. If she goes that direction kinda like tonight, she be good to go.

>> I am superly excited to move!
I will have lots of decorating to do.
Gotta make another list of things to get. It's smaller, so, that means I have to check out how much space I have exactly 1st before I go out and buy stuff.

My roomie-I should think of a nickname for her, wears shoes indoors. I'm not that kind of person. Its wood floors, maybe that's why she does it?

I will prolly get:
- shoe rack table
- dirty pile hamper from IKEA
- file cabinet of some sort for my desk to put all my books and papers
- decorations for my wall??

>> I got these cute Dora Explorer playing cards for a dollar at Target. Super cute mini deck. Colorful and slick feel-not paper.
Get it!

>> My baby chateau roomie tried to get on my room discount. She started talking about percentages and how it would cost her and the other roomie more money if I get the discount. Um hello! That just means you pay you're regular rent! There's nothing more you would pay if I get the discount. Dumb!

I forwarded the email telling her how the landlord is only giving me the discount and only me. That shut her up, hahaha. She says, " If that is how Kevin and the owners meant for the split to go, could you please pay your portion then of the difference how they figured it--$105?  I frankly do not have enough money for all of my bills this month plus extra rent, so I would appreciate it.  "

Wait a minute...you can't afford your bills and you were trying to ride my discount tail in order to help yourself?? Sinking to low levels, boo! Shame!

Anyways, I'm ready to move out before April-I really don't have much to take and gather. I rather take my $105 and put it in my pocket instead of having an empty room for another month.

April 15 is my new roomie move in date.
Hmm what to call this new place?
"Baby Chateau" is so cute. This new place doesn't deserve such name.
Uhh...
It's furnished, small, an older lady is my roomate, less updated looking as far as room/bathroom, and kitchen goes. Hm I see an old trend.
Antique Chateau?

But, "chateau" is so rich sounding.
And this condo is no where near richness.

I'll think about it more or have my friend come up with a new name haha.

>> It's settled.
I'm moving in to the furnished place. No need to waste with bedroom delivery monies. The utilities flat rate is a steal!
$37! Other places want $50-$100. No thanks!

Me and the 63 year old gonna have a blast!

You might have that wrinkley skin and hunched image of the lady with a cane, but, she aint. Her hair is did, good skin. Walks normal.
So I won't be a caregiver I can assure you this.
Hehe.

>> So, I checked out the condo. The lady was nice and warming. Its just that the whole place was small for a 2bed/2bath. I saw online other complexes within the community photos of the interior of each home. Some were small and the other one I liked was big and up to date looking. They both had the same amount of sq. feet, but, it doesn't look the same.

Eh. I dunno what to do. This place isn't bad vibe-wise. Just a bit cramped. Walk in and you're in the tiny living room and nestled to the right is the kitchen. To the left are the bedrooms and bathroom.

The PROS:
- Although it's the main bathroom that anyone can go in if guests come over-it's all mine. The other roomie has her own in her master bedroom. At least I would get to decorate it.

- I don't need buy kitchen appliances. She said she has everything there. So plates and pans to my use. Thanks lady!

- I get her daughters bed, desk, and bookcase if I want it. She's moving out.

- I have to pay $25 in utilities, but, that is wifi, cable, electricity, and water. She had to start paying for water recently. Sucks, cause I'm a huge water consumpsiourer. I like my long warm showers and my electricity guzzler hair tools.
She said the amount in utilities don't even cover 1/3 of what the whole thing is for all the utilities. I guess they're trying to get someone in there quick. She didn't seem to mind it much.

- I get a small tv with cable in my room. Imagine a big wide laptop screen for size. Better than nothing right?

It's decently furnished.

I would be in my room a lot.
Nothing will ever compare to my spacious baby chateau with huge bedroom, dual sinks across from each other with cute vanity lights and lots of drawer space, wooden spacious closet, mini hallway of shower to the toilet room with a million and five cabinets space. *sigh*

>> I would be there for only 6 months or so then I would move with my boyfriend. The condo is convenient to my workplace. Within mile and half. So no worries of huge rainstorms and trying to enter the freeway of hazardness.

Okay for some reason all this is convincing me to want this haha. There isn't a view like my chateau, but, I can deal without one. I should be working and if I aint I should be resting and if not hanging out-I got the wonderful cable tv.

Tee hee.

Ok I'm starting to really like it. Haha.

>> If I still had my baby chateau to rent, I would feel so spoiled. And when I move out after lease is up, I would have to have that upscaleness or better for my next baby chateau.

I checked out a roomie ad in a condo for $550+$50 utilities. It was waaaay small bedroom. This was one of those "2bed/2bath plus extra room, but, let's squeeze it to make it 3 beds" condo. Ugh! The room bigger than mine already occupied rents for $550, scandalous! I get a smaller room and still pay the same as someone who gets more space?! No thanks!

The condo seems outdated because I saw the master bedroom and bath. The dual sinks are right next to each other kinda ugly. So was the boxey closet. Basically my baby chateaus bathroom and closet are 100000x better and elegant looking. The best I've seen so far besides those millionaire mansions.

I'm going to keep trying to find a decent and fair priced chateau.

>> Fashion.

When I move out, I can wear whatever I want when I go out and about.
I see myself going more on a fashion extreme style.
Dark panty hose with skirts and heels, belts around the waist on button up long shirt dress with short shorts under, revealing dresses with cuteness still attached.
I call this extreme cause it would be outta my usual comfort, but, I like the style of it!
And lots of accessories-hair, bracelet, necklace, and a swanky bag for finishing touches.

Yay! Fashion.

>> I'm looking for places near my new work area so that way I can save on gas. Which means more monies yeeaahh! =P

I found a roomie ad that's super close to work! I could probably go home within 5 during lunch and chill, then go back. ;)

She doesn't have pictures, but, the complex has pool, gym, parking, and fireplace. Besides it's in a slight upscale area so has to be safe and non termitey I hope.

I will prolly try and check the place out tomorrow in person, go with a friend.
It's $550/month plus $50 in utilities of wifi and electric/gas. I think water might be free. Imma have to ask if it's a flat fee or by usuage. That's a lot. I should ask how much the whole condos rent is to so I know I'm getting a fair deal in rent and not paying more than my share.
It's 3 bed/2 bath and I would have to share a bathroom. Blaaah! I dig decorating my bath and it being clean to my bum and calling it my own!!
Oh wells, this will bring my rent share down. I wonder how big my room is. If it's those 3 bed/2 baths, but, really "2 beds/2 bath with a small extra room for a computer or try to make it a bedroom"-I'm not sure if I really want it for $550. That seems more like a $400 room.
My baby chateau is more of a 2b/2b make that extra room a bedroom and call it 3b/2b!
The gym onsite may have a fee associated with it. Argh. It better be awesome! I will be testing out the ellipticals fo sho'! If they got 'em!

>> My vegetarian days only lasted maybe a week. I had In&Out last night. Fries were cooked under par. I should ask for well done next time.

One getting a job step done, move to a place next.

>> Ahem.

I'm full-time employed yay!

The sad news is they let go one of the girls who I liked and thought was cool!

I wonder why?

It can't be me right? Couldn't they let her go a week later? Its like, you're hired, she's fired.

The girl printed me a map of a sushi place and gave it to me using the office printer paper. She gave it to me in front of the manager. The manager was looking at me all 'what is that eyed' staring as I folded it into my pocket. Then I'm all smiley fun and saying its her favorite sushi place. The magager got up and kinda rolled her eyes shook her head and muttered something.

I can totally see the manager saying the same lines of letting me go. She's one of those stern ones who can pretend to be cheerful. Basically, be scared!

Thank You Jesus for this opportunity!

>> On my lunch break. I kinda will miss this place. I was more speedy today, but, dropped an instrument and kinda slow in handing instruments.
I feel like I waste a million gloves here. I don't have all my materials, so, I would have to take off my gloves and grab with my hand or hands and put another glove(s) on. I could reput the glove back on, but, I could contaminate the glove and it touches my skin...so yeaah.

We'll see where this interview leads.

>> Ok I've figured it out!

She says $1065 for rent cause she's prolly thinking $1600-$535(owners discount)=$1065
and that we all split that amount to our portions.
But, nooooo! Sorry, that is incorrect thinking method.

It IS actually $640-$535=$105 for ME discounted
and the roomies pay their same share of $480($1600-my share of $640=$960/2=$480)

Again, don't ride on my discount tail coat.
Thanks and bye bye.

I'll be sure to invite annoying friends muahahahaha!!

>> This brings me to another trip!
Dude $1600 down to $1065??? And I only got $40 discount on my rent after that??
Omgee!

Okay so say its 1600 initial rent for us 3,
$1600-original rent of my portion $700= $900
Between them two, making $450 each.

With $1065-$640 discounted(the roomie came up with this amount for me after "her calculations" when she learned we get a discount for having prospective buyers come in-i was okay when she told me, not sure how much our whole rent discount was at the time-i just learned it thru these emails)=$425
Between them two making $222.50 each
Wtf???
They get $225 each in discounts and I got $40?

Oh no no no bich!

If this roomie thinks she can get away, best think twice! And if she can't get it, she needs to keep thinking til she does!

>> This roomate is a trip!!
I emailed her asking how she got $198 percentage wise.

She says,
"The way I figured out the $198 was to take the percentage of the entire rent that we each pay now(the $1600), and I multiplied that by the discounted rent ($1065) to see what your rent would have been this month ($426).  I then subtracted that from your current rent of $640 (again, rounded to nearest dollar) to see what the difference would be.  Doing it outside of Excel just now, I calculated $212, so slightly different. "

...
Can't this dumb B understand:
$640 current rent for ME - $535 owners willing to take out = $105 ????

She trying to cash in on MY discount and make something off of it.

...
I emailed landlord asking if the owners can pay my $640 split so I won't have to pay a penny.
The landlord says,
"I am not sure how the 3 of you are doing the calculations. This is our intent. We felt that your rent and only yours should be decreased for the second month - because you are the one who has to move twice in less than 3 months. However, we have no power to apply this rule as we rent to all of you under 1 lease. The other tenants have been there for a year or more. They did receive the proper 60 day notice and therefore do not require any rent rebates. Nor should they expect one. So the $535 decrease ought to be applied to your total rent and no one else's."

...
Yeah decrease to me biatch!! I was hoping he would straight up see the math calculation and email the roomie it's $105 if anything I should pay, but, he didn't. The landlord "cc:" the owners, so, we'll see if they can pay MY $640. Then again it's not 'paying' cause its their own-they just won't get money.

This dumb B got me pissed!
Imma tell her bout the correct and real fair way to subtract, none this multiply stuff that makes NO SENSE what so ever.

Stop trying to ride my discount tail coat!
>> Ohhh heck nah !!

Email from roomie:
"So, I have been trying to figure out what the fair way to do this would be, since we don't split rent evenly between the 3 of us.  If you did not pay rent at all, Heather and I would get stuck paying more than our current rent.  Would you be ok with paying the difference percentage-wise?  It would come to $198.71 for rent--Heather and I would make up the rest, not getting as much of a break but closer to fair.  Also, since you haven't been here nearly as much, we could discount the amount you pay for the electric bill and the parking fee, etc. too.  Would you be ok with just an even $210?  Let me know if this is ok. :)"

...
Oh heck nahhh!
What's this percentage bull?!?!
My discounted rate is $640.
The owners decided 1/3 rent or $535 will be paid aka free for me.
That leaves a $105 difference!

And they say they "would make up the rest, not getting as much of a break but closer to fair".

Um..? surplus! Make up the rest?? You're saying $198.71 is still not enough!
Psssh!
That's more than what I would pay for my difference. Waay more!

Btw, I paid last month $12 for a private parking spot and never got it. How about I get that $12 back huh!!

So NO IT IS NOT OKAY!!!

>> It was good my friend got that temp agency job the other day. All the peeps there did temporary crowns day in and day out. I wouldn't survive that for 8 hours. She said it was one dentist and lots of assistants making crowns. Hmm, either he's a specialty crown maker office or he's milking peoples money and saying they need a crown(s) for decay purposes when it's not necessary. Docs can make a thousand on one crown. That doc is so money-eyed!
I really don't want to do temp crowns. I suck at that perfection duty. I think that's what I am doing next week for my work interview blaah.
Even if I hate it on the first day I got/must/have/force to stay for the rest of the week cause that is guaranteed paycheck!

>> My baby chateau will be rent free April. Got an email from landlord saying since I just moved in and there's a buyer it's not fair for me. So, they are taking $535(1/3 of total rent) out.
That is...if the roomies stay for April and not move out at end of March.

My rent is actually $640(suppose to be $700, since it was on the market and buyers were coming in to see-an inconvience to us roomies, it got lowered). My room has its own bath and much more space; my rent is higher-not evenly split. If the roomies ask me to pay $105 difference, imma be mad and bring people over to drive them mad muahaha!

>> The "yes" office manager said she didn't talk with the doc when I called her yesterday and said will definitely call me back later in day. Well, she hasn't. Today I searched online for jobs, and the office put an ad for front office at their other location. This means, they don't want me. If they did, it would in town. Imma have to scratch this one off the list and keep my search going.

>> The buyers backed out in escrow. However, there is a 2nd buyer who wants to check the place out one more time before locking in a deal. I kind of don't want my baby chateau no mo' because it is costly. I don't have a job and bills to pay. Maybe moving out in a month or two would be better than putting down some hundreds on rent.

Sunday, March 14, 2010

>> So I checked my voicemail after watching some Amazing Race-great travel show btw! It was the temp agency letting me know there is a job opportunity tomorrow that could lead to permanant and to call back.
I couldn't call back. My parents would catch me on the phone, they don't know I had quit my job long ago. They think I'm at the same job going to work, but, instead I am actually going to the BOYs and waiting for temp agency to call from there...if they don't call, I go on with my day.

Anyways! Yeah couldn't call back. I checked my messages and my friend from dental school told me she got a call from the temp place for work tomorrow and possible job-but it was 2 different people who called us with same # to call back at. So, it could pretty much be the same doc or coincidence of 2 different docs.
I am going to call tomorrow once I leave the house!! Gotta see if it was the same doc and update them on my situation of possibly getting hired from the "yes" doc office. I'm going to call the "yes" office later tomorrow since they open late.

This draws to an odd path for me...

1. Say that the "yes" peeps don't want me.
2. The agency makes me go "work interview" at the same doc my friend is going into tomorrow another day... Do you see where this is going yet??

3. What do I do?? It would be like stealing her potential job. Even though they called me first, she picked up.

Do I go in anyways and have the doc pick one of us in the end? Survival of the fittest right? My friend can't be mad at me-we are in the same agency.

Or say,
'hey friend, I can't do this between us, you have it'
and walk away?

Ahhhhh.
It IS survival of the fittest. It's up to the doc to choose anyways, so, might as well try right? To the best RDA?
>> Oh and I found out Dr. Po hired my classmate at $10 during training, $11 after. I doubt I would have wanted that at such a low pay. I got bills homie!

So good riddance!

>> Searching for a new place to live online. Found a couple I dig. Well they're actually in the same condo complex my baby chateau is.
One is 2 bed/ 1 bath for $1250. Top floor woo!
The other is 1/1 for $1000. Top floor also.
The world is scary out there, so, finding a trustworthy roomie is hard.
But, with my own place-my own toilet cleaning business, can have whoever I want over and when, my rules, feels like home.
With a roomie-cheaper rent, not scary during the night lol I am skerred of the dark, an extra friend.
So, we'll see who's paths I cross and yeah...
Still need a job 1st!

>> Plus when I was work interviewing the front office, it went by sooo fast.

The place I'm going to work feels forever since kids appointments are half hour each for xrays and cleaning. So after a few I do and all that hard work, it barely passes 2 hours. Ugh 8 hour back work sucks like that.

At least with general dentistry, a procedure is usually like an hour long. And the stuff we do time usually flies by without knowing it-fillings/crown preps. So an 8 to 10 patient day depending on procedures.
Much more relaxed and time consuming. I want that.
Not kids crying cause I want an xray and they won't open or they don't want their teeth cleaned. Lots of screaming and crying when that happens. They cry/scream and tell the parent-"next time we'll try it again and the doc will just do a visual exam."
Blah.
Some girls there do a better job getting them behaved than me.

Hmm. If my friends workplace wants me for front, I kinda want to now just to get away from the crying. Besides they pay more which means easier for me to pay bills and not need a 2nd job weekend shift.

Don't know what to do. The 'yes' will be cool because of the girls and office manager. My friends place has cool girls, but, on my toes with the doc and o.m. and have a feeling they can pull the "it's not working out with you" on me. The 'yes' peeps like me lots regardless so I don't think they would let me go. Or would they?

Ahhhhhh. Loca!
>> I was on you tube and came across a 20/20 story on a kids dentist office giving kids treatment they don't need to make money since insurance companies don't give them much(production).
I have just been traumatized. I knew stuff like this happens, but, for it to be real and just the thought it could happen in my new office.

I rather just be in general dentistry not pediatrics. I don't like hearing kids wailing that would traumatize me all day.

I want to go do front office now away from all that drama.

>> Okaay.
I had a 3 day working interview in the front office, checking in&out patients, answered calls, called patients to set appointments, insurance money stuff. The 1st day was okay. Didn't get that great vibe from the doc and office manager. They can easily get someone else to replace me if they wanted to. 2nd day was better. I didn't do too much checking out patients computer work. 3rd day I pretty much messed up a lot. Not asking patients if they have different insurance or even checking to see if they do. This one patient got her cleaning done and afterwards the office manager asked if she had insurance and she gave the o.m. the card which turned out to be insurance the office doesn't accept. Meaning her cleaning will cost her a couple benjamins and then some.
The o.m. got on my case a few time throughout the day...not paying attention to the schedule, having to verbally tell and show me how to input things onto the computer. Oh man, the steps I get the idea, but, I get confused and think it's the way until it doesn't let me. Most of the time she stands behind me so I get even more nervous and misclick where I need to go. Blah.

Basically, I am sure they don't want me. Oh wells.

I called the place I temped at and said 'yes' to me to get a job there and the o.m. will talk to the doc and get back to me.

Man, imma miss the upscaleness and the pay increase.
At least I will be more happy o.m. wise.

>> So, bad news. The place that I am moving into got sold! Stupid buyers bought the place. Now I have to leave. Them jerks! My place was going to be the most awesomest room&bath&cedarwood closet ever! Evuuuurrrrr! The roomies want me to pay for April, but, why should I? I barely even have anything there. I might as well pack up and leave since I won't even be able to stay. The roomies said their name is on the lease and can't afford to pay my share. I sorta was in a contract not really. The few months the place was up for market wasn't technically a contract. It was going to be in June if the place didn't sell.

So yeah....

stupid rich people! have fun paying $300+ each month in HOA fees! Oh and good thing I didn't vacuum the place! Imma leave it dirty for you! Besides the last roomie left it just like that!
I should write a note saying,
'I strongly dislike you. This room is cursed muahahahahaha.'
That wouldn't be considered a threat.

Full-time vs. part-time.

Maybe if I believe that I can belong upscale and believe I can rawk the front desk and just "live the role" as I work interview, I can sure well be "living the role" months to come or even years.

Just smile a lot, sit straight, do things fast(anything from shoving files back, picking up the phone to ask them to hold, quick on everything!).

I can't rely on a summer class cuz of budget cuts and spring semester is the only time they give out the degrees.

>> The other dilemma besides time conflict is waiting around to see what happens. There were already working interviews at the place that already said yes to me. If I don't get it fast, they'll hire someone and imma be out of a job with them! And if Monday doesn't work out, I'm 2 jobless!!

ONE: stick out til Monday and see how I do. If they want me for Tuesday stay with them and risk losing the other job who said yes already. And also risk this new place if they later decide to want another person at their upscale place.

TWO: stick out til Monday and if they don't want me for Tuesday-go back to my old doc and ask for the job again. This will hopefully lead to permanent employment if they hadn't already picked out a girl from the work interviews.

THREE: if all don't work out, keep temping til I find one which will be who knows when.
>> I am freakin out cuz front office is super new duties, I gotta catch on quick and learn asap, and be able to catch all calls even if I'm on the phone-lots of multi tasking. All my money seriously will be going to clothes. At least I'll look fashionably cute in front haha.
I hope they decide quick else the other job I got offered at will already hire someone else. So, after Monday they better tell me to stay. If they're going to look at other candidates, I'm going to my other doc that already wants me.

It's one of those if you don't like me now and want to try others, that means you're not really into me....so peace out!

With the other doc, I'll be front and back - cross trained to front duties. I'll definitely be making less and it's part-time, but, at least I am guaranteed a job.

We'll see what happens after Monday.

>> So my interview was yesterday. I should be positive, but, for this one I am sure someone else will get it. If I was hiring manager, I would get someone else. The office is upscale-wooden floor decor, frames, leather fat chairs, coffee, water, packaged biscotti. Yeaaah, real upscale. I can't be "that" girl who has that rich appeal look.
I am inexperienced in the front and don't know how much they can take of me being patient so I can do it correctly. Gotta re-learn detailed procedure names to bill correctly. Gotta take notes when learning how to fill out insurance, confirming insurance, and whatever else they want.
Very scared. If I don't instantly understand and have to ask multiple times, imma be fired for being slow. My friend warned me about that...
I better look elsewhere for jobs. Quick!

Screw Dr. A!

>> I got a full size airbed. After opening the box I realized there was no pump included. Arrrrgh! So, there I was sitting on the floor with a deflated bed.
I'll get a pump tomorrow.
>> Dolla tree has been my new best friend recently. They have the cutest purple storage containers! I got 21 items-$22 yay!

Must sleep now.

>> So the morning starts as I am in the car about ready to walk into the dental office and start my 9 hours...blah! Hope it's a patient per hour. That will help make it go faster.

Laters.

>> Tired. Lots of driving. Got a call from where I temped and they want me. Told the manager bout my 2 work interviews this week and will get back to them later cause we cool like that. ;)

So if these upcoming 2 don't work out-I'm going there. Too bad it's 3-4 days a week not full-time. I need full-time hours and high pay to make it on my own.

>> Oh em gee, my friend totally helped me deck my place out. Dollar tree stores are great! Just don't get carried with the "it's only a dollar" mentality. I left and it was $40 haha. So 30 something items in my lil shopping cart.

But, yeah...thanks Kat! Again! Carrying, shopping, decorating, and munching.
She calls it "baby chateau"-that's cute. She loves it and took video hahahaha.

If only my roomies were super laid back, I'd have sleepovers and host mini parties.
I guess that's when I get a house. ;)

>> If we get kicked out, it would be so sad! It would be as if I get downgraded.
No more spaciousness, room+bath tickling my fancy.
The closet is <3
My room has so much decorating potential. I need Kat again haha.

Please don't find buyers!

>> I figured Vienna would win, they do have that be-free with each other chemistry.
With Tenly it's as if Jake does need to act like a prince and more mature or something around her to match her elegant sweet girl personality. Vienna is just more raw. He explained it kinda well. I think the 'missing piece' is he has to be that sweet always 24/7 gotta smile guy. I see it. Whatever.

Ok night. I missed another blog day blaaah. "The ALMOST Daily Strut" muahahahahaa.

Can you dig it? Fo sho' fo sho'
